Canz4Cancer mission is to make our community more environmentally friendly as well as raising monetary contributions towards CANCER RESEARCH....
Lloyd Willson, Director of Canz4Cancer, has a vision that will have a major impact with families in Urban Communities across the nation that battle Cancer. A lot of families across the nation, particularly African Americans, lack the knowledge and resources needed to get the proper check-ups and treatment. Early detection is a VERY important component when dealing with Cancer. Canz4Cancer will not only raise money towards Cancer Research but, also complete this task in a unique way.
Canz is a pastime that been around for decades and will to grow in years to come. Canz is a game that is played on the sidewalk of any neighborhood. Two people place a condensed can approximately 12 feet apart from each other and throw a ball back and forth. The lines on each players' side represents different point totals and the first player to receive 100 points is the winner.
Canz4Cancer began it's vision on August 14th, 2010 in Milwaukee, WI. The 1st Annual Canz4Cancer Tournament was a SUCCESS! With over 100 participants and over 250 people in attendance! We were also able to put smiles on a lot of people face through these challenging economic and violent times. One of our many goals is to be able to share this wonderful experience with families and communities across the nation.
Lloyd Willson came up with the vision to change lives across the United States. But it will take more than ONE individual to push this MOVEMENT! This is a lifetime opportunity for us to make an opportunity of a lifetime for a family...a friend...a mother......
